Quincy University and Blessing Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences (BRCN) will now offer a joint four-year degree in Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care and Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences. QU and BRCN have partnered in education for more than 20 years.

“Quincy University is very pleased to offer these two new degrees in an extension of our partnership,” said Teresa Reed, Ph.D., vice president of academic affairs. “Students will learn reading, writing and reasoning skills through QU’s science and Bonaventure Program courses, before moving to the advanced major courses at BRCN. This is similar to our partnership for nursing. Graduates of these new programs will be highly qualified for their careers.”

Students will apply as freshmen for fall 2020, and take general education courses as well as prerequisite courses at QU. Students will then begin respiratory or radiology courses at BRCN in the fall of 2021, during their sophomore year. Both programs include on-campus courses as well as a variety of hands-on clinical experiences around the Quincy area. QU and BRCN offer small class sizes and hands-on instruction a key to students achieving academic success.
